Funding: Donors and Grants

The LIFT-ECHO Project launched as an unfunded project under the leadership of Dr. Kishore Iyer and several like-minded individuals who have joined our Medical Advisory Board, with a simple goal of adopting the ECHO Model to reduce disparities in intestinal failure care. By democratizing knowledge and spreading best practices in intestinal failure care widely, we hope to improve outcomes in this devastating orphan disease.

Initial seed grants from the following entities have supported the launch:

• Zealand Pharmaceuticals, Denmark – through an unrestricted educational grant to the Recanati Miller Transplant Institute at Mount Sinai for the LIFT-ECHO Project
• The Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute and The Intestinal Rehabilitation & Transplantation Program at Mount Sinai
• The Oley Foundation through an unrestricted grant to LIFT-ECHO

Additionally, in 2020, LIFT-ECHO was generously awarded a three-year unrestricted educational grant from Takeda Pharmaceuticals. With this donation, LIFT-ECHO's mission to improve outcomes in intestinal failure and home parenteral nutrition will be supported for years to come.
