What's Happening with LIFT-ECHO?
LIFT-ECHO (Adult and Pediatric) will be taking an extended hiatus until the end of the year, with plans to resume sessions on January 7th, 2025. Our new schedule will include one Adult session and one Pediatric session each held monthly.
The purpose of this hiatus is to focus our attention on new and exciting research projects aimed at measuring the real-world impact of the ECHO program. In the coming months, we will start work on studies that not only examine the effectiveness of LIFT-ECHO as it currently is, but also expand the use of the ECHO model entirely. Specifically, in 2025 we are preparing to launch a patient-focused intestinal failure ECHO (called “PIF-ECHO”). The program will be the first of its kind and will provide multidisciplinary education and support DIRECTLY to patients with chronic intestinal failure (CIF) and their caregivers, with the goal of enhancing their knowledge, confidence in self-care, and overall quality of life.
While we are sad to suspend sessions for the year, we are excited to dedicate this time to research that we believe will enhance resources and support for the ECHO community. We appreciate your continued engagement in LIFT-ECHO and look forward to resuming our regular clinician sessions in January.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
